Ice Cream Tasting Festival

The Western Illinois Museum kicks off the summer with its annual Ice Cream Tasting Festival. With the $7.00 ticket, guests can sample twelve flavors of ice cream and celebrate the season. The event will be hosted by The Old Dairy located at 210 South Lafayette Street on Saturday, June 20th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Performance Food Service and Kohl Wholesale Company have donated 12 flavors of Kemps’ and Schoep’s brand ice cream for the event. All proceeds will benefit the museum’s collection, exhibit and educational programs.

As part of the Ice Cream Tasting Festival, the museum will hold a raffle for tickets to another of summer’s favorite activities! Two tickets to the Chicago Cubs versus the St. Louis Cardinals game on July 6, 2015, at Wrigley Field will be raffled off at the event. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and are now available at the museum or on the day of the event at The Old Dairy. The drawing will be held at the event at 4:00 pm. Winner does not need to be present. The baseball tickets are courtesy of the Macomb Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
