Community Sing-a-long

February 2, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

In celebration of World Ukulele Day, the Western Illinois Museum and Ukulele Macomb are pleased to hold a Community Sing-a-long on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. The event will be held on Our Front Porch at the Western Illinois Museum, located one block south of Macomb’s Courthouse Square. The event is free and open to the public.

This event is for those who enjoy singing and listening to music -no need to play an instrument. Like the many generations in the region who entertained themselves by singing together, this event brings families and friends together for an enjoyable time. Song sheets will be available and refreshments will be served.

Since 2011, Ukulele Macomb has been teaching all ages to play the ukulele with workshops and two weekly jam sessions. They provide entertainment to the community by performing for events, organizations and area assisted living centers. Their enthusiasm for the ukulele has encouraged people of all ages to learn to play music and to enjoy singing together.

The Western Illinois Museum is located at 201 South Lafayette Street in Macomb. For more information, contact the museum at 309.837.2750 or info@wimuseum.org.
